Chelsie is this week’s Employee Spotlight at Blue Inc. The team was able to sit down and interview Chelsie after being selected. See what she had to say!
After graduating from Loyola University Chicago, Chelsie joined the team at Blue Inc just last May. Originally from Iowa, she came to Chicago to go to school and continue to play soccer.
Why did you start with Blue Inc?
"I started with Blue Inc, because it was a job opportunity for me after college. What attracted me to Blue Inc was the vast experience I could gain in such a short period of time. Since being here, I have learned how to interact with others, how to understand people, and most of all, patience."
If you could name one book to be your favorite, what would it be?
"I would say my favorite business book is 50 Success Classics. I say this because it has multiple books summarized into 4-6 pages, which is perfect for my attention span. If I really enjoy a synopsis, I’ll read the full version.”
What do you like to do in your spare time?
"In my spare time, I work out, play soccer, paint or draw, or just relax with some country music."
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
"I once ate 171 shrimp in one sitting at Red Lobster!"
Name someone who has influenced you.
"Tim Brinkman! He showed me how love is the most important component someone has to possess if he/she wants to live a fulfilling life on this planet. He showed me the potential for love to overcome any fear any human has, and let me choose for myself how to live my life. Also my father, because him and I are very similar. He’s showed me how to be passionate about something and get what I want out of life. He’s always taught me how to stand up for myself as well and not let what other people think affect my decisions (even though I slack on this at times)"
Thanks Chelsie for taking the time to chat with us and congratulations on being selected by the team for the Employee Spotlight!
